High School drumlines get the chance to go head-to-head with one another in a March Madness-style drumline tournament! In each showdown, two drumlines will face off with the judges choosing a winner based off of technique, music/visual execution, unique moves/stunts, one-upsmanship, showmanship, attitude, and audience reaction. The winner advances to the next round to face a new competitor. In the end, one ensemble will be crowned the 2019 WI Day of Percussion Drumline Showdown Champion, receiving a championship banner and getting to perform on the Day of Percussion afternoon showcase concert with The Tundra Line.

  • All instruments/props must be carried onto performance area (see the complete rulebook above for more specifics); stands may be used as long as they are carried on and off of the performance area.
