2019 Wisconsin Day of Percussion Drumline Showdown Championship Banner | Champion will perform on the evening Showcase Concert with The Tundra Line
High School drumlines get the chance to go head-to-head with one another in a March Madness-style drumline tournament! In each showdown, two drumlines will face off with the judges choosing a winner based off of technique, music/visual execution, unique moves/stunts, one-upsmanship, showmanship, attitude, and audience reaction. The winner advances to the next round to face a new competitor. In the end, one ensemble will be crowned the 2019 WI Day of Percussion Drumline Showdown Champion, receiving a championship banner and getting to perform on the Day of Percussion afternoon showcase concert with The Tundra Line.

Drumline Showdown Rules
All competing ensembles must be comprised of students currently in grades 5-12 from a single Wisconsin school district.
Any size ensembles are welcome to perform & compete.
All instruments/props must be carried onto performance area (see the complete rulebook above for more specifics); stands may be used as long as they are carried on and off of the performance area.
The use of electronic instruments or amplification is prohibited. "WGI-style" percussion ensembles (with front ensemble/electronics/etc) are welcome to perform in exhibition, but will not be allowed to compete.
The total performance area will be 90 feet long by 60 feet deep; this will divided in half by cones with each of the two competing ensembles using half of the area (45 feet by 60 feet) in each round.
The tournament will be bracket-style, with two ensembles competing head-to-head in each round with winners advancing to compete again.
Each showdown performance will consist of two short rounds with each ensemble alternating performances. In a given round, each ensemble's performance should be at least one (1) minute long but not to exceed two (2) minutes in length. (more timing info in complete rulebook)
All registered ensembles are guaranteed at least one performance round with the possibility of 'consolation rounds' depending on the number of ensembles registered to compete.
Registration is limited to the first 16 ensembles to sign up; registration is first-come first-serve.
The link to the registration form can be found at the top of this page.
The champion will receive a 2019 WI PAS DoP Drumline Showdown Championship Banner as well as getting to perform on the afternoon showcase concert with The Tundra Line.
