Adam Brostowitz

Adam Brostowitz earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a minor in
History from Western Illinois University, where he served as Drumline Captain, was a
student leader and soloist in Steel Band, and performed in multiple concert, percussion,
and jazz ensembles.

Adam has taught high school drumlines, steel bands, and percussion ensembles, and
has provided private steel pan, percussion, and piano lessons to students of various
ages. Through his work with Blue2 Percussion, Adam introduced and led Mukwonago
High School’s first-ever Steel Band ensembles, expanding steel pan education
opportunities within the program.

He has served as Percussion Director and percussion arranger for the Metamora
Township High School Marching Band, and has worked as a battery technician and front
ensemble technician for ensembles including the Mukwonago High School Marching
Band and the Lighthouse Brigade of Racine. Adam also has performance experience as
a substitute member of Tundra Line, the official drumline of the Green Bay Packers.

An active composer, arranger, and performer with the steel pan group North Coast
Steel, Adam has published steel pan music through MauMau Music. He served as
Music Director, lead composer, and music arranger for the 2022 original musical Fall
Risk, and has experience as a middle school and high school Solo & Ensemble
adjudicator.

In addition to music, Adam holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, a
Graduate Certificate in Trauma-Informed Care, and is a Licensed Professional
Counselor-In Training. He also has experience as a school counselor and nonprofit
leader, as well as service on boards of directors for multiple nonprofit organizations.
Adam currently works as a mental health therapist in Mukwonago, WI.
